What to know:

Safety Information

Conditions Change: Nature is unpredictable. The track conditions and weather mentioned in this post may have changed since ExploreABLE visited.

Personal Responsibility: You are responsible for your own safety and must assess your own fitness and skills before attempting the activity. Please consult with a doctor before undertaking any new physical activity to ensure it is safe for you.

Accuracy: While ExploreABLE strives for accuracy, errors can happen, and official sources (like National Parks websites) should always be checked for the latest alerts.

Terrain: The trail is a well-maintained, compacted gravel track featuring a continuous, gentle uphill incline with a few short, steeper sections. The main terrain challenges are slippery surfaces from rain or leaf litter, shared bicycle traffic around blind bends, and occasional exposed roots or loose stones.

Wildlife: The main wildlife challenges along the track are encounters with Tiger snakes or Copperheads basking on the sunlit gravel path during warmer months, alongside the occasional swooping bird or active wombat burrows near the trail edges.
